Join Dr. Casie Danenhauer, pelvic floor physical therapist and yoga instructor for Retreat to Your Root: 2019 in San Luis Obispo, CA. Retreat to Your Root is a unique core and pelvic-centered women’s wellness retreat.  Dr. Casie has designed this transformative weekend immersion focused pelvic health, women’s wellness, community building, and exploring self-care as the ultimate strategy to maximize whole system health. The weekend will feature yoga, lecture, group discussion, special guest speakers, connecting with other women, and creative activities centered around women's health concerns and healing pelvic floor dysfunction.  Retreat to Your Root is open to all those who identity as women with interest in pelvic health and is specifically designed towards those with pelvic pain, issues with bowel/bladder/sexual function, or are just curious about the mind-body connection.

Retreat to Your Root: Midwest edition! at the gorgeous Yoga House on Moon Acres in southwest Michigan. Join Dr. Casie Danenhauer PT, DPT and CYT for a retreat focused on pelvic health, the pelvic floor, and the healing the divine feminine.  This is a special 4 day/3 night edition of Retreat to Your Root which means extra time with Dr. Casie, extra time in nature, and a chance to drop in deeper into the retreat experience.   The weekend will feature yoga-based methods addressing pelvic health, women's health concerns and healing pelvic floor dysfunction.  Retreat to Your Root is open to women with interest in pelvic health and is specifically designed towards those with pelvic pain, issues with bowel/bladder/sexual function, or are just curious about the mind-body connection.  

Casie will include daily in-depth instructions in physical yoga postures as well as a variety of breathing techniques and meditations specifically to benefit the pelvic floor.  In an effort to share her passion of holistic healthcare she will also lead educational discussions on topics including pelvic floor anatomy and physiology, the mind/body connection related to pelvic pain, the energetic connections to the pelvic floor, and the main purpose of the retreat; the importance of self-care and inner-work.

Retreat to Your Root weekends are opportunities to retreat and spend dedicated time to heal yourself, connect with a community familiar with pelvic health, and explore ways in which you might benefit from taking a more holistic approach to wellness.

Yoga for Your Yoni: An In-depth Experience of the Mind-Body-Pelvic Floor Connection

Come spend an afternoon with Dr. Casie Danenhauer, pelvic floor physical therapist and yogi, for a practical and theoretical immersion into yoga for pelvic health. Yoga for Your Yoni is an opportunity to practice self-care and self- love, connect with your body physically, energetically, and emotionally, and relish in your divine femininity to invite full healing potential into your life.

Part 1 Begin with a lecture explaining the anatomy, physiology, and function of the pelvic floor, the yoni, and your core. Casie will spend time debunking pelvic floor myths and explain why kegels aren’t the answer to every problem. She'll also discuss the energetics of the pelvis and pelvic floor including a look at the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras, the balance of masculine and feminine energies in the pelvis and reproductive organs, and how imbalances may show up in your life- specifically in the emotional bodies.

Part 2 Integrate what you’ve learned into your body with a gentle asana practice (appropriate for all levels), breathwork, chanting, and guided meditation to explore your personal connection to your pelvic floor.

This is a safe space in which to discuss all things vagina, sex, period, childbirth, and pelvic floor-related.  The space is open to all who identify as women.

Attendees often come with concerns related to painful sex, endometriosis/fibroids/cysts, constipation, post-surgical pain, urinary issues, low back/ SI joint pain, or pregnancy, however Yoga for Your Yoni is valuable to any woman.

Connect more wholly with yourself and with a community of women who likely share your questions and concerns.

The retreats will be held on the West Coast in the spring and on the East Coast in the fall. Retreats are open to women with interest in pelvic health and are specifically designed towards those with pelvic pain.
